RPOF on Tuesday's State of the Union Address

Republican Party of Florida Chairman Blaise Ingoglia released the following statement Tuesday night about President Donald Trump’s first State of the Union address:

President Donald Trump
“Tonight, our nation heard an optimistic, bold and unapologetic pro-American agenda from President Trump’s first State of the Union address,” Ingoglia said. “Not only did he show his honor, his love and patriotism for America, our Commander-in-Chief once again showed himself to be a visionary leader, not afraid to rise to challenges and tackle decades-old unsolved problems we continue to face. Moreover, Trump showed his willingness to lead where others have chosen to demagogue. With resolute determination not seen since Ronald Reagan, he highlighted our successes and laid out a plan to continue making this nation safe, strong and proud again.

“The president stood firm that the time is now for problem solving, not political posturing.  He effectively used tonight as a 'get off your ass' moment for Democrats, and extended his hand in an effort to get this government working for the American people once again."

Ingoglia concluded, “Mark my words ... President Trump is pioneering a new way of governing in Washington and history will look back at these moments, as well as all of these reforms and accomplishments, and our children and grandchildren will ask: ‘Where were the Democrats during this time of historic prosperity’?”
