Heartland Institute Experts Revisit Supreme Court's Obamacare Decision

By a vote of 6–3, the United States Supreme Court last week ruled in favor of the Obama administration in King v. Burwell, a case that challenged the federal government’s authority to provide subsidies for the purchase of health insurance for Obamacare in states that did not set up exchanges.

Senate Gives Floridians with Unique Abilities Big Boost

The Florida Senate, on the special session's last day, improved the lot of people with unique abilities when it passed SB 2500-A, an appropriations bill that increases funding for adults and children with disabilities by more than $230 million over base funding.
 

Largest-Ever Medicare and Medicaid Fraud 'Takedown' Nets 73 in South Florida

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi joined federal authorities Thursday, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Office of Personnel Management and the Food and Drug Administration, to announce the charges of 73 South Florida residents for their alleged participation in various schemes to defraud Medicare and Medicaid out of more than $262 million.

The "Florida Deserves Better" website, created by Florida Roundtable, gives the Florida House point of view and, in the process, this "top 10" list of reasons for rejecting Obamacare/Medicaid expansion in the Sunshine State.

The site urges "lower costs and greater options for all Floridians."
